Modbuster – Modbus diagnostic program for MS Windows
Part Number  BE090

Definition
Modbus is an excellent, robust and widely used protocol for industrial communication.  Unfortunately, it is also subject to many individual variations.  Efficient diagnosis of system problems can be challenging.  Modbuster serves two primary needs: it exercises and verifies basic functionality of another device, and it
provides a known-good device to operate on the Modbus network in order to effect control or gather data. Modbuster supports all of the major physical layers used by Modbus:  RS232, RS485 (with our converter, see below), Ethernet.  It supports RTU, ASCII and TCP/IP modes.  In the upper layers of the Modbus stack, all major variations are supported, including check summing.
