The SteadyMix is a magnetic laboratory stirrer that uses a microstep motor to obtain extremely smooth operation, even at low rotational rates. This is important in order to minimize damage to fragile cell cultures or other media that cannot withstand the shock of jerky magnet motion. The SteadyMix also includes a precise, PID controlled heating element on its aluminum deck. Controls for both are easily accessible, yet protected from spill.
